Intercom & Gate Repairs - History

I received the following e-mail from KM today, nothing to summarise, it says it all:

"Hello,

Good news, the intercom is back online. Got the part quite quickly although when it was delivered the Postman was ringing the Bell repeatedly because obviously I couldn't tell him it wasn't working.

I'm going to have a look at the light today probably so I'll let you know the outcome.   [JV] has been working on the back gate this weekend, not the nicest weather for it but it's running much better now.

Cheers,
[KM]"

I heard from TB at No. 6 today and he sent me some pictures of the garden (that he's been looking after).   I hope everyone is enjoying it!   It seems to be looking mature now and by the sound of it will be looking suberb by Easter.   He also told me that according to an old Census, No. 4 used to be inhabited by an American consul - he's going to send me some details when he has time.
